The Fenix Executive PhD program aims to contribute to industry by taking high potentials into a dynamic development. Managerial knowledge and a research program gathers company experts on business and knowledge creation. During their education period, the Executive PhDs also explore how to build bridges between academia and companies and between theory and action in order to learn how to create knowledge and develop business opportunities. The Executive PhD program also contributes to the renewal of research education by operating in a new way. Results are produced from research projects in Fenix partner companies produced by Executive PhD students and senior researchers in joint action. Being an Executive PhD student means meeting high demands, but it also means receiving good support in reaching goals and meeting targets. The demand for results from Fenix Executive PhDs are the same as those imposed by traditional research programs. However, the approach taken is different (The Executive PhD Education). Executive PhDs should also strive for a continuous implementation of their knowledge in their own company, hence giving the base organisation a return on its investment as soon as possible. |
